As the leader of the Cloud Product Manager Lead within the Cloud Platforms and Technologies (CPT) team, you will be an entrepreneurial and innovative product leader with a user-centric mindset and proven experience in driving the product development process. You will apply your extensive experience with on-premises and public cloud infrastructure to shape and inform your product strategies. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders across engineering, finance, compliance, security, operations, and executive management to translate business needs into an effective cloud product strategy.
The Cloud Product Manager Lead is essential to ensuring the company maintains its leading position in a highly competitive market and is responsible for assessing emerging trends, technologies, cloud platforms, and potential partnerships that allow us to deliver innovative product solutions that improve the customer experience.
You will own the product vision, strategy, and outcome-oriented roadmap, prioritize product features and capabilities, and maintain a healthy product backlog (i.e., writing and accepting user stories). You will spend each day facilitating customer discovery sessions, collaborating with stakeholders, CPT team members, and users as you create amazing products.
The Cloud Product Manager Lead must have exceptional problem-solving skills, be an effective communicator that uses his/her abilities to successfully collaborate with others, able to lead and influence product conversations for customer benefit, build consensus among a wide cross-disciplinary range of partners, and instill commitment from teams to deliver high performance results towards the development and execution of enhanced product offerings.
Candidates will primarily work in a hybrid office model. However, depending upon product specific requirements, new efforts may require some travel. This is a hands-on Product Management position that works across the entire product lifecycle from cloud product ideation, experience design, implementation, delivery, and post-launch support.
What You Will Do:
· Lead and develop other Cloud Product Managers
· Be responsible for assessing emerging trends, technologies, cloud platforms, and potential partnerships, mapping customer needs to product capabilities and delivering innovative experiences that simplify the customer experience
· Facilitate engaging and lively discovery sessions with key customers and other stakeholders to shape your products and inform your product strategies
· Drive the product development process and collaborate with internal stakeholders across engineering, finance, compliance, security, operations, and executive management to translate business needs into an effective product strategy that ensures we maintain a highly competitive market position
· Maintain a deep understanding of cloud technologies, both on-premises and in public clouds, to make informed decisions
· Be accountable for maintaining product deliverables such as a product roadmap, support structure, and documentation
· Drive the delivery of product roadmap items, defining and prioritizing what to build while constantly incorporating enhancements based on customer feedback
· Research, document, and prioritize detailed product requirements to ensure that products meet business needs, performance objectives, and deliver an exceptional customer experience
· Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
· Ensure products comply with relevant laws, regulations, and security standards.
· Define and track key performance indicators and provide actionable insights to continuously improve a product’s performance and return on investment (ROI)
· Be a subject matter expert and thought leader of your products across the organization, positioning your product within the larger portfolio level customer view of all CPT products
· Apply product development best practices and ensure that product development initiatives comply with product development standards
Required Qualifications:
· 8+ years of experience working with on-prem and public-cloud infrastructure products
· 6+ years of experience in Product Management in a customer-facing role
· Deep understanding of information technology principles and demonstrated knowledge of on-premises and public cloud platforms / applications/ software products or design tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience across all elements of a cloud product lifecycle, including building and operating cloud platforms on-premises and in public cloud
· Experience facilitating discussions with key stakeholders
· IT infrastructure Product Management experience, preferably cloud technology Product Management experience with a focus on customer success
· Strong conceptual thinking skills with an ability to proactively problem solve, recommend solutions, and intuitively prioritize business issues in a large enterprise matrixed organization
Excellent communications skills and proven ability to communicate effectively with senior management and business leaders
· Strong bias for action, sense of ownership, and demonstrated ability to proactively build partnerships, foster collaboration, and influence others for customer success
